Fire OS UX, Amazon Digital Products

I managed and directed a team of UX designers to deliver core features for the 8th generation of one of Amazon’s most popular line of consumer products used by tens of millions of people around the world—the Fire HD line-up of tablets. I directed and managed the team responsible for shipping the core OS suite of features, including system UI, SD card functionality, settings, notifications, lock screen and the search experience. I directed the design team's activities, while also providing hands-on design solutions for certain features. Collaborating closely with a cross-functional team of PM, research, dev and legal, my team shipped Fire OS 5 as well as subsequent dot releases, overseeing the "uplevelling" from Android Kitkat to Android Lollipop.
